  • MacOS 10.15 Catalina was released on October 7, 2019. Updates included enhanced voice control, and bundled apps for music, video, and podcasts that together replace the functions of iTunes, and the ability to use an iPad as an external monitor. Catalina officially dropped support for 32-bit applications. MacOS 11 Big Sur.
  • The upgrade also wiped my Time Machine backups which I had going nicely to a Synology NAS drive (soc ant regress to Catalina!), but that route does not work anymore. Obviously, I have sent in many crash reports and also logged my issues with Support.
